commission piece
this piece is a commission piece, it is 30" x 36". It is done to go over the client's fireplace which is red brick. Made the work darker than usual because of this placement. I'm not in a hurry to do another commission piece as I have alot of other things waiting to be done. I leave for Austin in the morning and am hoping to get some artwork done there.

To Students:
following is a supply list for June 4th
You will need to bring drawing paper (cheap), and should be at least 16 x 20, no small sketchbooks please.
Watercolor paper, hot press 1 sheet per class You may also use illustration board if you prefer. Gouache, or Acrylic Paints , also any paints you enjoy working with including of course watercolor.
Charcoal (thin sticks) or soft dark drawing pencil
Mat Medium is the choice for gluing. If you are trying to use heavy papers, I suggest Yes glue. You will need white gesso. Black gesso is available, which is fun to work with if you choose. For collage, any decorative papers that you have. Old maps, receipts, old letters, old photos are fun. You will also need art tissue (white) papers. I will have additional papers of all kinds and you will be making some of your own.
A model will be there each day, so you will have a model fee.

May 14
Have two big pieces I am working on, one is a commission and the other is for the Pearl Fincher Museum show the end of June. Belong to a group known as "Six Figure Artists" and we all painted the same model from different angles. I am posting mine, but it is in a rough state.

Have neglected posting
This piece sold last nite, right after I put it on the 1st page of my photobook. Oh well, I have always liked it and want someone else to enjoy it. I have a commission to do, and am waiting for a canvas size I ordered, should have it Monday and can begin. In the meantime, have started a new series, either "Patterns of Life' or "Life Patterns", can't make up my mind. Will upload first image.
