I took classes from John LaGatta at the Art Center School in the 60's. I have found information on him on the internet. After all of these years I know how fortunate I was to have had the opportunity to work under him. Read about him if you have the chance. A true genius for his time. According to the internet he died in '77.

Hi Liz, I also had LaGatta as a teacher at Art Center in the 60's. I really wish he had brought in some of his illustration work to show us or at least talked about it.
do you not do figurework now? Your watercolors are gorgeous, didn't see any figures. I'm with you, I wish he would have talked about his work moe.
