Just Figures

Am still trying to get together some more paintings for the show.  This one is on paper and a maybe, might try to do a canvas piece if I get lucky and don't run out of time.  My favorite model is Patricia, who I love to draw and paint.  Her flying hair inspires me.  She also is a very accomplished artist with pieces in this show.

Back from Bryan

Am home from workshop I did in Bryan.  They have the friendliest nicest people in Texas.  Am now getting ready for the "Just Figures" show this Friday nite from 6 to 9.  Some of the work that will be shown is absolutely beautiful.  Helped check it in today.  What a treat this show will be.

Better get my act together, got a phone call, it's only 2 weeks until the "Just Figures" show.  I need to have at least 5 pieces.  So worked some tonite, these look like possibilities.  14 x22 on paper

Marty Hatcher's dog

am working on a pair of Marty Hatcher's dogs.  She runs an artist retreat in Tomball Texas and I could not resist making a couple paintings of her Whippets.  This one probably has something else mixed in, but I absolutely adore this dog.

Sold I did a demonstration today for the Watercolor Society.  These were the pieces I worked on.  The crowd was enthusiastic and fun to work with.  I hope I see them soon.

We had a wonderful model at the watercolor society yesterday.  I will use one of these sketches to do a finiahed piece on Sunday when I do a demonstration of my process for the watercolor society.  Don't know which one interests me the most right now.

"Just Figures"

We will have another "just figures" show at Studio in the Woods again this year in March.  Since I don't have many nudes I'll have to get ready for this one quickly.  I said I would have 5 entries, so here is entry #1.  I also will be working on doing alot of decorative collage papers this week, as I am doing a demonstration of my collage work on Sunday, Feb. 14, for the watercolor society.

finished my 2nd workshop Saturday, am stressing a bit, need to get 8 images put together for a magazine layout .  Have an appointment with photographer tomorrow.  Am having trouble rounding up 8 images that suit me.  Would love feedback on this.  thanks in advance.
