sometimes I am good

for I don't know how long I have had stacks of paintings on paper.  While strolling thru IKEA I saw these pants hangers for $1 each.  Bought a bunch and am now hanging all of these paintings in a closet in my studio.  Did I see this somewhere or did I just get a good flash of intelligence?

Cleaning out the studio

What on earth do you do with all of those drawings, threw out a lot, but some didn't want to toss.

So where do these go, am getting ready to do some shots in studio, and am not good at organizing, but must be done.  I saw yesterday where you can buy pants hangers at Ikea, just clip your drawings and hang.  Think that is a good idea, although will take a lot of hangers.

Getting ready for "Texas" show in the Woodlands

Broke my glasses last week, so have been working under a handicap.
Have begged them to hurry up, to no avail.  Supposedly Monday is the
big day.  I am taking an oriental papermaking workshop this weekend,
should have some great papers for collage.  Not sure this piece is done,
letting it rest a couple days.

another way of approaching a portrait

This is a charcoal portrait , it has a spray of acetone to make the wonderful texture.  Will try this again for sure.

a drawing from today, 5-24

I have started painting on top of paint rather than gesso.  I like the surface as well as the texture you get when you do this.  Contact me with questions.

Glamerous Art Walker. OK, i HAVE EMBARASSED MYSELF, put out a post withi Glamorous misspelled

                                                            Love the artwalks in Galveston.
People get all dolled up, and really .
                                                                know how to show up.
It drives me crazy to see misspells on a post,
                                                     NOW I DID IT....yikes

Judged the NSA show last week

Judged the NSA spring show in Galveston last week.
The same week I judged the Galvest Art League
Show.  My friend in Galveston was out of town
and couldn't stay over.  Galveston is one of my
                                                                       favorite places.

favorite drawing of the redhead

feel a Klimt coming on

I have no place to paint, maybe the dining room floor?  I'm definetly having withdrawals.  Need to turn this quick sketch into a Klimt like piece.  A redhead really a treat at the Watercolor society.

Have spent the last month all involved in moving, so glad to be here and will eventually settle in.  My art studio had workmen in it all day, can't wait for all the work to be done and organize and actually do some work.  Have attended a couple model sessions, but have been so distracted have not done a lot of painting.  So straight ahead.  We had a wonderful session at Art Discourse (it is a group I do for artists where we meet, show work and talk art).  Much fun, but realized how little work I have done for the past month or two.  So I am posting my birds made with hand-made papers from a papermaking workshop last summer with Rix Jennings in the Heights.  He is the master.  Anyway in case I did not post before here goes:

These are a couple of my favorites, will do more when the studio is done.
