Watercolor Society

We had a weightlifter on Wednesday, this was probably the only thing I got worth saving, however as suggested by a friend, may make it a companion piece to "The Morning After", good idea.

Cute Patricia , a fun model to do with my favorite socks- I have  been doing pictures of her for years.  Never get tired of it as she gives so much of herself to the session.

Another New Mexico painting

I already gave this to a friend who watches my cats when I am out of town.  She has a new house, so it made the perfect housewarming present.  Anyone who takes care of my babies deserves my art.

Ghost Ranch Landscape, October 2015

This is the first landscape I did in Ghost Ranch.  The landscape is outstanding no matter where you look.  The light keeps changing and you are looking at another painting every hour or so. Facinating place to landscape paint, I can see why Georgia O'Keefe fell in love with the area.  We had a tour around the ranch and a tour or the O'Keefe home.  Everything was very inspring and I have enough landscape photos to last me the rest of my life.

Gloria, as much fun as ever

Work back from Galveston

The show in Galveston is over, it was quite sucessful and would like to show more work there.  Sold "Josianne" again.  This woman inspires me .  I still have the painting I did of Josianne as a white girl.  Apparently God meant her to be black.

Josianne again

Eventually I will get tired of painting her?
In the meantime, she's still my favorite, and
have quite a collection.

Back from Galveston

Will bring this back home on Thurs, am picking up work from the Tyler Studio show in Galveston.  This piece has been so popular I am planning on making prints, which is a new thing for me.  Will look into it next week.

Home from Dallas to waterlogged Houston

Got home from Dallas, am amazed at the weather, dark and grim just as it was when I left.  I enjoyed sunshine in the big D.  Did a workshop at Teta Smiths Studio.  She is a real gem, I so enjoyed meeting and working with her.  The class was top notch and will post a slide show when I get rested up in a day or so.  She  has a wonderful group of  artists and they are so much fun.  Will never pass up a chance to teach there.

My daughter's birthday painting

When your daughter asks for a painting you have to comply, even when it is a strange paper size (32" x 28") you do it. It  required extra large paper, now that I have a roll, I can make some more strange size paintings.  Hopefully it looks good on their fireplace.

Landscape Collage

This is a demonstration I did for the people at Wenmohs Ranch.  On the last day we did landscape collage.  After I came home I put a catfish in with the new transfer method I learned.  It works great.   This is Galveston, you can't see the many layers online.
